The physical properties of galaxies at z ~ 2

The Blue Jay survey is a Cycle 1 program (GO 1810) with the James Webb Space Telescope. The primary goal is to obtain deep spectroscopy using the NIRSpec instrument for 150 galaxies at 1.7 < z < 3.5, which allows us to study in detail both the ionized gas and the stellar content. We also obtained parallel multi-band imaging with NIRCam to study the structure and morphology of galaxies at z ~ 2, and to detect and characterize galaxies at higher redshift.
